The treatment landscape for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (RRMM) is highly complex, treated with a wide variety of single-, double-, and triple-agent regimens. Additional therapies with novel mechanisms, superior efficacy, or improved toxicity profiles are being investigated in clinical trials. Several of these are already available on a limited basis via clinical trials and may become more widely available in the clinic in the near future. Practicing physicians can benefit from an understanding these approaches so they may incorporate new therapies with confidence immediately upon approval and enroll patients in appropriate clinical trials.
