How to Access AudioEducate

Requirements

Just like with any Alexa skill, you don’t need a desktop computer or laptop.

AudioEducate requires you to have an account on Amazon.com and permission to send you emails via a valid email account.

Devices

You can use any of the following devices to access programs:

  • Smartphone or Smart Device (e.g.- tablet)
  • iPhone (download Amazon Alexa App at iTunes)
  • Android (download Amazon Alexa app at Play Store)
  • Amazon Echo
  • Amazon Echo Dot
  • Amazon Echo Spot
  • Amazon Echo Plus
  • Amazon Echo Show
  • Pre-installed Automobile Apps*
  • and more to come in 2018-2019

  • *Ford has installed Alexa on many of its 2018 models. If you don’t have Alexa pre-installed, you can still use AudioEducate on Bluetooth on a paired device in your car or at home, using the Alexa App on your Smartphone.

    Getting Started

    Once you have enabled the skill in your Amazon account, use your device to say:

    “Alexa, Ask AudioEducate”

    Alexa will welcome you and ask for your Username and Password*

    Keep in mind your password is numbers. If you correctly matched the combination you will be welcomed by name and Alexa will prompt you for answers on your program until done.

    *If you forgot or would like to change your username and password, you will need to log in to www.app.audioeducate.com using your Email Address and Password

    Alexa commands for AudioEducate

    Just like any Alexa skill, AudioEducate uses standard Alexa commands. (See standard command list below)

    “Alexa, Ask AudioEducate”

    Starts the app


    “Alexa Stop”

    Ends the program


    “Alexa Next”

    After Audio is finished, allows Alexa to proceed to next part of the program.


    Remember, Alexa is listening to your responses and selections. She will prompt you for simple responses (i.e.-yes, no, true, false, A, B C, 1, 2,3). If you answer something she can’t figure out she will ask again.

    My Account

    We receive your account information in one of two ways.

    Private

    In this account, you have been sponsored by a company or organization to access a private account. Therefore, you are likely an employee, a member, or have registered in a systematic fashion with the sponsor to receive programming.

    When you log in you have private access to your sponsors programs. If your interests lie beyond your sponsor, you may access any public programs by logging in to your profile at Audioeducate.com and adding other interest areas to your profile. However, your profile information will be given to any sponsor whose program you take as sponsors routinely receive reports about those who participate in their public programs.

    Public

    You signed up at AudioEducate.com independently and are not affiliated with a sponsor.

    You may access any public programs by logging in to your profile at Audioeducate.com and adding interest areas to your profile. However, your profile information will be given to any sponsor whose program you take as sponsors routinely receive reports about those who participate in their public programs.

    Please check our Privacy Policy and Terms and Conditions which all users of AudioEducate must agree.

    *Remember, AudioEducate will never collect or ask for any financial information. If you are being asked for financial or personal information, please make sure it is your sponsor asking for the information as it is not AudioEducate.com

    Requirements to Create an AudioEducate Account

  • AudioEducate requires you to have a basic account on Amazon.com to link your device.
  • We also need permission to send you emails via a valid email account.
  • You must agree to the Terms and Conditions as well as the Privacy Statement.

    *Don’t have Alexa pre-installed, don’t worry you can use AudioEducate on Bluetooth on a paired
    device in your car or at home, using the Alexa App on your Smartphone.

    About Desktop Computer and Alexa- Alexa uses far field technology, which is something built in to theEcho devices and Bluetooth. However,a computer is a little different, however, an App is in development as Amazon has teamed with Microsoft and various computer manufacturers. Check your
    device to see if Alexa is available.

    Steps to Create the AudioEducate Account and Link to you Amazon device.

    Because we track the participants responses and often issue certificates of completion, we must be able to identify each person in the system. This process is comprised of two easy steps taking only a few minutes. Once done, you will no longer need a username or password to start an AudioEducate program. This will link all devices connected to your account including mobile phone, or car-based Alexa applications using Bluetooth.

    Step 1) The AudioEducate account.

  • Go to app.audioeducate.com and click register.
  • Fill out he fields and let us know your interests and medical specialty (if applicable).
  • When you submit, you will get an email to complete the Amazon linking of your device to the AudioEducate account.
  • Step 2) Linking AudioEducate to your Amazon Device

    Your AudioEducate registration email from step 1 will allow you to enable this skill on all your Amazon Alexa devices registered to your account. The email will contain your AudioEducate Username (which is your email address) and Password.

    Steps to enable the Alexa AudioEducate skill on Amazon and launch your activity:

    1) Login to your regular Amazon (www.amazon.com)account.

    2) Type AudioEducate in the Amazon search bar.

    3) Click on the AudioEducate logo, then click “Enable” the skill.

    4) An AudioEducate window will open. Please enter your email and AudioEducate passcode

    You are ready to begin by saying "start AudioEducate" on your Alexa device

    Getting Started and Standard Commands

    Starting AudioEducate

    Once you have enabled the skill in your Amazon account, use your device to say

    “Alexa, Start AudioEducate”

    If you linked your Amazon account, Alexa will welcome you by name.

    Commands for AudioEducate

    Just like any Alexa skill, AudioEducate uses standard Alexa commands. She will generally prompt you for the desired response. Like please say “yes or no“ ,”true or false” or to say a short phrase like “New Program” or “Catalog Number”. If you say something else, she will not understand what you are trying to do and either ask again or exit the skill.

    Additional Commands to use with AudioEducate

  • Alexa Start AudioEducate—Starts the skill
  • Alexa Cancel- Ends the program
  • Alexa Pause- Pauses the audio
  • Alexa Resume- Resumes the audio
  • Alexa Next- After Audio is finished, allows Alexa to proceed to next part of the skill.
  • Remember, Alexa is listening to your responses and selections. Always wait until Alexa stops speaking to give your answer.

    Public or Private Sponsor account

    We received your account information in one of two ways.

  • Private- through a sponsoring organization.
  • Public- Independently registered via app.audioeducate.com
  • 1) Private Sponsor –

    In this account, you have been sponsored by a company or organization to access a private account. Therefore, you are likely an employee, a member, or have registered in a systematic fashion with the sponsor to receive programming. When you log in you have private access to your sponsors programs.

    If your interests lie beyond your sponsor, you may access any public programs by logging in to your profile at App.Audioeducate.com and adding other interest areas to your profile. However, your profile information will be given to any sponsor whose program you take as sponsors routinely receive reports about those who participate in their public programs.

    If you feel you need access to a particular sponsors programming, please contact the sponsoring organization for their registration credentials.

    2) Public –

    You signed up at App.AudioEducate.com independently and are not affiliated with a sponsor.

    You may access any public programs offered by any sponsor by logging in to your profile at Audioeducate.com and adding related interest areas to your profile. However, your profile information will be given to any sponsor whose program you take as sponsors routinely receive reports about those
    who participate in their public programs.

    Starting AudioEducate on Your Alexa Device

    Starting AudioEducate

    Once you have enabled the skill in your Amazon account, use your device to say

    “Alexa, Ask AudioEducate”

    Alexa will welcome you and ask for your Username*

    Then Alexa will ask for your Password*

    *If you would like to change your username and password, you will need to log in to www.audioeducate.com using your “email address” and “password”
